Gray

Done for the 100 themes challenge. "Gray"

I had this idea in my mind when I heard the word. About these two people, miserable people, rather upset with their lives and they live in this drab little world, all shades of gray and charcoal and ash.

So they're sitting in this dank little alcove of a cafe and talking about how unhappy they are.

"It's very in this year, the color gray."
"It's in every year, day in day out, 24-7. You can't get away from it. Can't run from it. It's always there waiting and moldering away."

And then, this girl in a bright red jacket would walk by and of course, they'd have to know who she is.

I'm not sure what ensues between here and there, but in the end they'd find out she was all red because she was in love with someone. As they're hanging out with her though, she ends up being kidnapped by the 'erasers' who systematically destroy any color in the city.

Do they get her back? Does the city ever return to color? What happened to the girl in the red coat, what about the boy she's in love with? Will he ever find out?

I don't have any answers there...it has been fun to keep pondering this over though!
