Such Ungodly Sights

The illustration for my first published work, entitled "Miss Elliot and the Eldritch", a kind of mash-up (a serious one I might add) of the story of Jane Eyre and the mythos of H.P Lovecraft, I'd say its roughly 85% Brontë and 15% Lovecraft.

Here we see the young St John and the eerie Mary Garret, gazing upon the terror of an Eldritch abomination for the first time. Such beasts are the things that drive men mad! To look upon one of them causes the very foundations of human reason, faith and morality to dissipate! Consecrate yourself, and barricade your soul, for the Eldritch are beyond mortal comprehension, beyond mortality itself!

Anyway...that's probably what you'd be thinking if you saw one...if you could still think.
